Freedom of expression neither entitles one to condemn nor step on another person's religious or racial beliefs or rights. Everyone has the right to follow their own beliefs, as long as their beliefs are not harmful to the rest of the society.
With the recent reports of Singaporeans posting insensitive comments about other religions, proper guidelines are certainly needed to ensure appropriate behaviour among Internet users.
However, the guidelines must be used only to educate the users on postings of religious or racial nature. The guidelines MUST NOT be used to curb discussions on topics like politics, lifestyle, education, etc.

Is Yahoo News (Singapore) anti-PAP?
Is Yahoo News (Singapore) anti-PAP? Because I don't see any good, positive comments about PAP and some of my comments have been deleted several times. With a 60% majority in the last election, I'm sure there must be at least 1 positive comment right?
Unless the whole Yahoo comment system has been hijacked by the opposition political parties.

Election 2011: PAP vs WP - an observation
People's Action Party (PAP) won all wards except 2 (Aljunied GRC and Hougang). Workers Party (WP) won Aljunied GRC and Hougang. Hougang is WP stronghold and hence no surprise it won the ward again Since then, many ignorant people have been praising WP for their win in the David vs Goliath battle. But is this a David vs Goliath battle?
If WP is good as they claim, why didn't WP win in wards other than Aljunied GRC and Hougang? All they did was to win the weakest link (Aljunied was the weakest PAP ward in 2006 election). And they won by only 7% more. For this marginal win, they needed ALL the WP's heavyweights: Low Thia Khiang, Chen Show Mao and Sylvia Lim??
During the rallies, WP spoke of policies of HDB (Mah Boh Tan), Mas Selamat's escape (Wong Kan Seng), Youth Olympics (Dr Vivien), Healthcare (Khaw Boon Wan)....did they win against any of these men? No!!! They won in Aljunied where Mr George Yeo (then Minister for Foreign Affairs) had nothing to do with any of these issues. Why didn't the WP "A" team contest in any of the other wards? Because they know they don't stand a chance....so what did they do? Contest the weakest link. Smart move but is this a good win? The best of WP managed to win over 7% more votes using its "A" team! Pathetic!
This is a good win??? Any educated man would doubt that. Given that Aljunied was the weakest link, it's no Goliath that David (WP) was battling. It was a dying a dragon that David claims to have slayed.
BTW I'm not a supporter of any political party nor am I a foreigner. Just an observer.
